The Old Chapel

A new home with a long story

Our saleroom now stands in a building most of Morecambe’s lifeboat-era families will recognise: the Old Chapel on Pedder Street, used for years by the local Sea Cadets unit. The pews are gone, but the high arched windows and timber roof remain — and feel surprisingly at home filled with porcelain, silver, oak furniture and the occasional ship’s compass.

It’s a fitting setting for an auction house: a building rebuilt on craftsmanship, anchored in the town, and with a view of the Bay through the cracks in the door.

A small, family-run auction with several years of experience in the trade — now with a roof that’s seen a lot more.

Selling with us

From a single piece to a whole estate

Email or phone us to arrange an appointment, or send images first to see if your item is viable for sale. We give free verbal valuations on anything you bring to the saleroom and have access to a network of specialists when an item needs more careful attention.

We charge 20% sellers’ commission with a £2.50 per-lot fee, which insures your items while they’re on the premises. You’re usually invoiced within two weeks of the sale, and we’ll always tell you what your items realised before you’re paid.

For probate, insurance, or whole-estate work, ask us about written valuations and full house clearances across Morecambe, Lancaster, and the wider region.
