This vintage speaker cabinet, manufactured by Dr Nesper (Eugen Nesper GmbH), dates from the late 1920s and has been internally modified for contemporary use.
The unit has been upgraded with a two-way speaker system. Based on accompanying documentation, this includes an 8-inch Celestion 8-ohm main speaker, a 4-inch Bell component speaker, and an Eagle frequency crossover unit. The back panel is fitted with a contemporary single RCA phono input jack. The unit is stated to have a power handling of 40 watts.
Condition report:
The exterior oak cabinet is in good vintage condition, exhibiting an attractive aged patina. There are signs of age-related wear, including surface scratches and small scuffs, particularly to the top surface and the base.The item is sold as an auction lot and is currently untested for functional performance.
