This lot comprises a collection of approximately ten loose faceted gemstones of various sizes, colours, and cuts, presented in individual clear plastic display containers. The collection consists primarily of deep purplish-red stones that appear to be rubies, consistent with handwritten labels present on several containers marked burma Ruby. One notable large specimen is a bright pink colour, appearing to be a pink sapphire, and another is a violet-blue pear-shaped specimen appearing to be a sapphire. The stones are variously cut, featuring oval and cushion brilliant styles in addition to the single pear-shaped stone. Many of the specimens exhibit visible internal inclusions and a translucent, sleepy appearance, while the pink specimen appears to have higher clarity. The gemstones are housed in plastic gem jars with black or white foam inserts and two small square display boxes. Although a business card for the Antwerp Laboratory for Gemstone Testing (ALGT) is visible in the background, no laboratory reports or certificates accompany this lot. One container lid is marked with the numerals 30.15, which may relate to a reference number or weight.
Condition report:
The gemstones exhibit varying degrees of clarity, with several specimens showing eye-visible internal inclusions. The stones appear to be in generally good condition with no significant surface chips or scratches immediately apparent, though fine facet-edge wear and minor surface abrasions consistent with loose storage may be present.
