An ethnographic hand-carved footed bowl, attributed to the Oromo people of the Jimma region, Ethiopia.
Condition report:
The piece is in good ethnographic condition, showing signs of age and traditional use. There are visible stable shrinkage cracks, also known as checking, to the body and base, which are typical for older hand-carved hardwood objects. The rim shows minor nicks and surface wear consistent with its utilitarian history.
