A large-scale, floor-standing topographical 3D relief model depicting the English Lake District. Two small internal tabs indicate North and South orientation. An inscribed wooden strip along the front interior edge reads SCALE — HORIZONTAL 1 To MILE VERTICAL 1/4 To 1,000 Feet and M.W.W. WOOD, DEL. 1939.
Condition report:
The model is in good original condition with vibrant colours. The glazed case shows age-related wear, including scuffs, scratches, and surface marks. The glass panel appears to be intact. The supporting wooden stand shows surface wear and some loss to the dark finish consistent with age and use.
