A studio pottery ceramic figurine titled Fruit Sellers, created by Reg Johnson in 1979. The piece is a three-dimensional interpretation of the 1670 genre painting by Spanish Baroque artist Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. The base features a protective brown felt pad with a cutout revealing a handwritten inscription on the ceramic body which reads: Fruit Sellers, From the Painting by Murillo (1670), by Studio Potter, Reg Johnson, 1979.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The polychrome glaze remains bright and well-preserved. There is a small adhesive lot tag numbered 1471 attached to the back of the kneeling figure. The base is fitted with a brown felt protector.
