The group includes six stemmed champagne or coupe glasses, each featuring a bowl decorated with a dense diamond-cut pattern, a multi-faceted stem, and a circular foot finished with a star-cut base. Also included are four tall highball tumblers decorated with a pattern of upright fanned cuts above a band of diamond cross-hatching separated by horizontal lines, a design characteristic of the Waterford Lismore pattern. The final set comprises four small spirit glasses with heavy bases, featuring an all-over deep diamond-cut harlequin pattern and a faceted lower section. While a handwritten card in the display mentions Waterford, no etched maker’s marks or labels are visible in the provided images, and the items are therefore catalogued as being in the style of Waterford. The glassware is of significant weight and clarity, consistent with premium 20th-century lead crystal production.
Condition report:
The glassware is in very good, clean condition with excellent clarity and no visible cloudiness or glass sickness. The cutting remains sharp across all pieces. There are no major chips, cracks, or significant abrasions. Minor surface wear to the undersides of the bases and occasional tiny nicks to the sharp edges of the cut patterns are consistent with age and occasional use. One tall tumbler shows a possible minor fleabite to the rim.
