This collection comprises three 19th-century Victorian Staffordshire earthenware flat-back figures, designed for mantelpiece display. Includes a figural group titled Returning Home, the remaining two items form a matching pair of spill vases.All pieces are constructed from lead-glazed earthenware with hand-painted polychrome overglaze colours.
Condition report:
All three figures exhibit overall glaze crazing consistent with age. The Returning Home figurine shows a small visible firing crack or minor chip to the horse\'s front right leg where it joins the base. The spill vases show minor firing imperfections typical of mid-to-late 19th-century production, with well-preserved orange-lined interiors to the spill holders.
