This 18th-century hand-coloured copper-plate engraving is attributed to Johannes Baptista Passeri (1694-1780) and likely originates from his publication Picturae Etruscorum in Vasculis, published between 1767 and 1775. The print illustrates Greek red-figure pottery and their corresponding decorative friezes.
Condition report:
The print is in good overall condition with light toning to the paper consistent with age and minor cockling. The hand-colouring is well-preserved. The plate mark is clearly visible. The contemporary frame and mount are in good condition. Not examined out of the frame.
