An assortment of vintage and antique decorative objects, primarily constructed from wood. The collection features a prominent hexagonal wooden box with a central circular miniature portrait of a lady inset into the lid; a rectangular wooden box with a relief-carved lid depicting sewing implements including scissors, a thread spool, and a thimble; and several smaller boxes with varied decorative finishes such as Tunbridge-style geometric marquetry, brass inlay, and floral carvings. The group also includes a wooden mortar and pestle, a small rectangular metal-topped trinket box with embossed foliate patterns, and a circular wooden stand containing six purple felt-lined recesses. Additionally, there is a brown leather-cased document folder and a circular carved wooden lid bearing a stylized SL monogram.
Condition report:
The items exhibit visible signs of age and use, including surface scratches, abrasions, and general wear to the wooden and leather surfaces. Some boxes show fading to the finish and minor edge wear. The leather document folder shows scuffing and creasing commensurate with its age.
