This glazed ceramic figurine, titled Bed Time, is the work of studio potter Reg Johnson. The piece depicts a young boy with blonde hair kneeling in prayer on a textured, pale blue cushion-style base. The boy is dressed in yellow pyjamas with a white collar and cuffs. Positioned on the base beside the figure are a dark blue ball and a red-bound book. The figurine is finished with a high-gloss polychrome glaze. The underside of the base features hand-painted script in a dark glaze which reads Bed Time by Studio Potter Reg Johnson.
Condition report:
The figurine is in very good condition, showing no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration. A small paper auction lot sticker is adhered to the back of the figure. There is minor shelf wear visible on the unglazed foot rim.
