An assortment of decorative ceramic and porcelain items, featuring a Maling lustreware vase with an iridescent glaze displaying vibrant transitions from cobalt blue to yellow and red tones. The underside of the vase bears the printed mark for Maling, Newcastle upon Tyne, England, established 1762, along with a hand-painted numeral 5 in blue.
Included in the lot is a pair of porcelain deer figurines in reclining poses, decorated with light brown accents and hand-painted or transfer-printed floral sprays. A ceramic novelty money bank is shaped like a traditional crusty loaf of bread with a textured matte finish and the word BREAD embossed on the side.
The collection also contains a matte-finish figurine depicting a young girl with pigtails leaning over a rustic fence with a small dog, in the style of Goebel Hummel. Further items include a glazed porcelain group of three figures in traditional Dutch dress, a small lidded tureen with scrolling handles and a rosebud finial, a group of chickens and roosters in a basket, a miniature pack mule figurine, and a glazed ceramic vessel in the form of a large smoking pipe. A partial house-shaped piece and an ashtray featuring playing card motifs are also present.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in generally good condition with some surface dust and minor shelf wear consistent with age. Fine crazing is visible to the glaze on several pieces, notably the Maling vase and the lidded tureen. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are immediately apparent from visual inspection.
