An antique aneroid banjo barometer manufactured by S. Leighton & Sons of Lancaster. A metal maker’s plate is secured to the reverse of the case, reading S. Leighton & Sons, LANCASTER.
Condition report:
The barometer shows signs of age and wear. There is a significant horizontal crack across the glass cover of the main dial. The wooden case has minor surface marks and dust accumulation. The functional status of the internal aneroid movement and the thermometer is unconfirmed.
