A collection of vintage haberdashery and craft-related items. The lot includes a brown textured suitcase with a checked interior lid bearing the handwritten inscription Mrs Ruth Williams. Within the suitcase are two large pieces of floral patterned fabric; a cardboard box from J. Jones M/c Ltd, Costumiers and Furriers, Church Street, Liverpool, containing an assortment of leather remnants in various tan and brown shades along with pieces of white fur. The collection also features a large, open black metal trunk.
Condition report:
All items exhibit signs of age and wear consistent with vintage workshop materials and textiles. The suitcase and metal trunk show surface scuffing, marks, and oxidation to the metal components. The fabrics are folded and show associated creasing. The cardboard box shows edge wear and some structural deterioration.
