An assortment of vintage industrial lighting comprising three adjustable desk lamps and assorted components. The first lamp is a mid-century counterpoise desk lamp attributed to Hadrill and Horstmann; the second is an adjustable multi-spring desk lamp in the style of the Herbert Terry Anglepoise Model 90, with a grey-painted finish and a heavy, square-stepped cast metal base; this lamp is without a shade. The third is a modern architect style swing-arm lamp in red-painted metal, with a conical shade and a clamp-on mounting. There is also a selection of loose components including a black-painted metal lampshade, various bayonet and screw-fit light sockets, a CFL bulb, and assorted power cables.
Condition report:
All items are in used, as-found condition consistent with age and industrial use. There is significant evidence of wear, including paint loss, scuffs, and surface oxidation, particularly noticeable on the metal counterweight and base of the counterpoise lamp. One lamp is missing its shade. The red lamp is currently disassembled. The electrical components are in various states of repair; some items have UK 3-pin plugs, while others have cut cables or bare wire terminations. All items are sold as untested for spares or restoration. A full safety inspection and rewiring by a qualified electrician are required before any attempt is made to use these items.
