The auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £10

Buyer's Premium:

A large collection of approximately 200–300 vinyl 7-inch 45 rpm singles, predominantly dating from the 1970s and 1980s. The lot includes a wide variety of artists and genres characteristic of the UK music scene of the period. Notable visible items include The Smiths “How Soon Is Now?” on the Rough Trade label (RT 176) with a purple label, and UB40 “Cherry Oh Baby” on DEP International (DEP 10). Other artists and titles identified through handwritten annotations on plain sleeves include Black Sabbath (“Paranoid”), Murray Head (“One Night in Bangkok”), and Elton John (“Nikita”). The collection features a mix of original picture sleeves, including one appearing to be Mari Wilson, alongside generic or plain paper sleeves. Various labels are represented throughout the lot, including Rough Trade and DEP International. The records are housed in a cardboard fruit crate.

Condition report:

The collection is in a well-used condition consistent with a personal accumulation. The card and paper sleeves exhibit varying degrees of age-related wear, including creasing, yellowing, foxing, and split seams. Significant handwritten annotations in ink and pencil are present on several of the sleeves. The vinyl records themselves have not been individually removed for grading or play-testing but appear to be in a condition consistent with a bulk estate lot of this nature.
