A pair of large earthenware storage jars in the Heirloom pattern, designed by John Clappison for Hornsea Pottery. Each jar is of cylindrical form, featuring a relief-moulded repeating geometric pattern in autumnal shades of brown and black. HORNSEA, ENGLAND 1975, and HEIRLOOM.
Condition report:
The jars are in good vintage condition. Fine crazing is visible to the glaze on the base of the jars. There are minor surface marks consistent with age and use, including a small white mark on the exterior of one jar. No chips, cracks, or restorations are visible.
