An assortment of ceramic tableware and decorative items including a group of Japanese eggshell porcelain tea wares hand-painted with traditional landscape scenes featuring pagodas and mountains, finished with gilt highlights. This group comprises multiple teapots of varying sizes, a cream jug, a lidded sugar bowl, and a variety of cups and saucers. Also included is a white porcelain teapot decorated with polychrome floral sprays and a high overhead handle, a large earthenware bowl hand-painted with bold pink flowers and green foliage, and a blue and white spherical ceramic vessel. Non-ceramic items include a boxed set of six Parnel Traditional Collection place mats in Redouté Rose pattern, a small figurine, and a metal tool with a light-coloured handle.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in generally fair condition, though they are stored loose and show signs of use. There is visible wear to the gilt decoration on several pieces of the Japanese porcelain. Given the fragile nature of the eggshell porcelain, minor chips or hairlines may be present. The lot is sold as a mixed collection, as seen.
