This piece is a three-dimensional interpretation of the 1825 portrait by Sir Thomas Lawrence, depicting Master Lambton. he underside of the base bears hand-written inscriptions in black pigment: The Red Boy / AFTER SIR THOMAS LAWRENCE PRA / BY STUDIO POTTER / Reg Johnson, accompanied by a signature.
Condition report:
The figurine appears to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. The glaze remains bright and lustrous. A small adhesive auction lot label numbered 1471 is present on the reverse of the rock formation.
