A pair of hard-paste porcelain candlesticks decorated in underglaze blue. The underside of both bases features a blue underglaze mark consisting of two crossed swords for the Meissen porcelain factory, likely dating from the nineteenth century. On one base, there is an impressed numeral 90 near the edge and two small blue underglaze characters near the rim.

Condition report:
One candlestick has a significant vertical crack through the top hexagonal nozzle which shows signs of an old glue repair. Both candlesticks exhibit small chips and nibbles to the sharp edges of the hexagonal bases. There is general surface wear throughout, and the unglazed footrims show an accumulation of dirt and minor kiln grit from the firing process.
