A Chinese carved hardstone ruyi sceptre, possibly nephrite jade, of a pale celadon-green colour. No imperial reign marks are visible on the object.
Condition report:
The sceptre appears to be in good overall condition. There are no obvious chips, cracks, or signs of restoration visible. The mottled reddish-brown coloration is a deliberate feature of the archaistic design rather than damage. Minor surface dust is present within the recessed areas of the carving.
