A decorative horse brass display strap constructed from thick dark brown leather and cast brass elements. No maker’s marks or inscriptions are present on the brass or leather components.
Condition report:
The item is in an aged, used condition. The leather shows significant stiffening, surface cracking, and fraying at the edges. The brass components exhibit a dark, naturally aged patina with verdigris present in the recesses. Several circular brass studs on the lower straps appear lighter in colour, indicating they are possibly later replacements or have been more recently cleaned.
