A hand-knotted wool pile rug constructed on a cotton warp and weft foundation. The design features a classic medallion-and-corner layout with a central multi-lobed medallion.
Approximate dimensions: 120cm x 80cm.
Condition report:
The rug is in overall good condition with vibrant colours throughout. There is minor, even wear to the pile consistent with age and use. The white cotton fringe at both ends shows some light fraying and unevenness but remains largely intact. The selvedges appear stable with original overcasting.
