A late 19th-century Victorian dome-top steamer trunk, also referred to as a camel-back trunk. The trunk stands on four small caster wheels.
Condition report:
Condition is consistent with age and extensive travel use. The exterior panels show significant scuffing, abrasions, and losses to the surface covering. Metal components exhibit surface oxidation and patina. The interior paper lining displays foxing, staining, and various tears and losses, particularly at the hinges and corners. The removable wooden tray shows structural wear and losses to the paper lining.
