A limited edition artist’s proof print titled Under Canvas by the British animal artist Nigel Hemming, depicting three black Labrador Retrievers looking out from the rear of a canvas-tilted Land Rover. The work is hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right margin and is numbered in pencil as an artist’s proof, A/P 67/95, in the lower left margin. An embossed circular publisher’s stamp for Washington Green is present in the lower left margin, and the artist’s name is printed within the image plate at the bottom left.
Condition report:
The print appears to be in good overall condition with no visible fading to the pigments. There are some minor spots of foxing and staining visible on the cream mount below the image area. The frame shows some minor surface scuffs and wear consistent with age and handling.
