A large Chinese porcelain vase of rounded form featuring a tall flaring neck and a bulbous body. The base of the vase features an iron-red six-character seal mark in seal script reading Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi (Made in the Qianlong Reign of the Great Qing). This is an apocryphal reign mark, and the piece is a 20th-century revival of the 18th-century Qianlong style.
Condition report:
The vase is in good overall condition with no obvious chips, cracks, or signs of restoration visible. There is minor shelf wear and surface soiling to the unglazed footrim consistent with age and display. The interior shows light accumulated dust.
