A Royal Doulton hand-painted porcelain figurine titled The Professor, model number HN 2281, designed by Peggy Davies. The underside of the base features a green printed Royal Doulton factory mark with a lion atop a crown, accompanied by the text The Professor, HN 2281, COPR 1964, DOULTON & CO LIMITED, and registration numbers 917069, 46394, 9980, and 576/64. A hand-painted decorator mark, appearing to read M8, is located adjacent to the main stamp.
Condition report:
The figurine is in very good condition with no visible chips, cracks, crazing, or evidence of restoration. The glaze remains bright and lustrous. A small adhesive paper lot label is present on the reverse shoulder of the figure.
