An Irish Killarney ware wooden tray of rectangular form, featuring a scalloped galleried rim and twin patinated metal bracket handles. The tray is centred with a large marquetry panel depicting the architectural ruin of Muckross Abbey among trees. The panel is inscribed with the characters MADE IN THE GAP OF DUNLOE KILLARNEY along the top edge and MUCKROSS ABBEY KILLARNEY along the bottom.
Condition report:
The tray shows signs of age-related wear, including surface scratches, some staining, and minor areas of lifting or loss to the wooden inlay. A white auction sticker is present on the upper surface.
