An E. Thomas and Williams Ltd. Cambrian type flame safety lamp manufactured in Aberdare, Wales with oval brass identification plaque is riveted to the upper chimney, embossed with the following text: E. THOMAS & WILLIAMS LTD., CAMBRIAN, a central crown motif above serial number NO. 152254, and MAKERS · ABERDARE · WALES. The lamp is accompanied by its original burgundy-coloured cardboard presentation tube with gold-tone printed lettering.
Condition report:
The lamp is in excellent condition, retaining a high-shine polished finish to the brass with only very minor instances of surface tarnish. The glass chimney is clear and free from chips, cracks, or visible wear. The internal wick mechanism appears intact. The original presentation tube is structurally sound, showing only minor surface wear and light scuffing to the edges consistent with storage and age.
