A studio pottery ceramic figurine titled Cavalier, designed and hand-painted by the British ceramicist Reg Johnson. The unglazed white base features a circular firing hole and bears the handwritten inscription in black script Cavalier by Studio Potter Reg Johnson. Reg Johnson was a former designer for Royal Doulton who later established his own studio practice, known for bold glazes and historical themes.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent overall condition. The glaze is bright and well-preserved. There are no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. Minor surface dirt and shelf wear are present on the unglazed portions of the base rim. A paper lot number sticker is affixed to the reverse of the cloak.
