A silver commemorative medal struck by the Royal Mint to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II. The obverse features a portrait of the Queen with the inscription SILVER JUBILEE ELIZABETH II. The reverse depicts a central Tudor rose design within an ornate border, inscribed VIVAT REGINA 1952-1977. The edge bears the maker mark JRG alongside London hallmarks including the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard head for the London Assay Office, and the date letter c for 1977. The medal is presented in its original blue Royal Mint box with a white satin and velvet-lined interior featuring the mint crest.
Condition report:
The medal is in extremely fine condition, displaying light surface toning and minor handling marks. The presentation box shows light external wear and minor staining to the interior lining.
