A collection of two antique vehicle lamps, comprising a carriage lamp and a cycle lamp. The smaller cycle lamp is identified by an attached metal plaque which reads J. LUCAS LTD, KING OF THE ROAD, BIRMINGHAM.
Condition report:
Both lamps exhibit significant signs of age and use. There is widespread surface oxidation, pitting, and corrosion across the metal components. The carriage lamp shows substantial loss and chipping to the original black paint finish. The cycle lamp displays tarnish and wear to the plated surfaces. The glass lenses and windows are intact but show surface scratching and internal accumulated dust. The articulated bracket on the cycle lamp and the thumb screw on the carriage lamp show signs of stiffness and wear consistent with age.
