A group of studio pottery from the Gordon Fox Studio, located in the English Lake District. The lot consists of three pieces: a chamberstick with a looped handle and central sconce, a small footed dish with a fluted and scalloped rim, and a small globular vase with a flared rim. The underside of the chamberstick bears a circular stamp in reddish-brown ink with the text: GORDON FOX STUDIO, AD 2000, KENTMERE, NR STAVELEY, CUMBRIA. TEL: 01539 821621, THE ENGLISH LAKES, and features a central graphic of a standing fox in a wooded setting.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There is minor surface dust and adhesive residue from auction labels present on the glaze.
