Condition report:
The chest is in a highly distressed condition throughout. There is significant wear and extensive loss to the green paint, revealing the underlying wood across most surfaces. The top exhibits numerous scratches, indentations, and old stains. The iron hardware shows heavy oxidation and rust. Internally, the top drawer contains a large, dark stain, possibly from ink or oil, to the base. The piece exhibits a heavy patina from age and use but appears structurally sound.
