Buyer's Premium:

The item is a British Wolseley pattern sun helmet, a design commonly used by military and colonial forces in tropical climates during the late 19th to mid-20th centuries. No maker marks, military broad arrows, or unit identifications are visible.

Condition report:

The helmet exhibits heavy weathering to the exterior. The white surface coating is severely crazed, cracked, and flaking throughout, with significant loss revealing the fabric underneath. There is minor deformation and wear to the edge of the brim. The interior fabric shows age-related staining and wear. The leather sweatband and chinstrap remain present but exhibit stiffening and surface cracking consistent with age.
