Buyer's Premium:

An extensive antique 128 piece sterling silver flatware service manufactured by R. Wallace and Sons in the La Concorde pattern, first introduced in 1927. The service features a late Arts and Crafts aesthetic with a distinctive hand-hammered finish, beaded borders, and trefoil-shaped terminals with various table and dessert knives and forks, teaspoons, soup spoons, butter spreaders, and serving implements; including a three-piece carving set consisting of a carving knife, fork, and sharpening steel, a pie server, ladles, and serving spoons. Many pieces bear a stylized Gothic-style monogram reading MLE. The set is accompanied by a soft storage roll from the retailer A.F. Edwards of Oakland, California.

Condition report:

The service is in good overall condition, displaying character-appropriate surface scratches, minor nicks, and tarnish consistent with age and regular domestic use. The hand-hammered finish remains crisp and well-defined across the various pieces.
