A heavy lead crystal spirit decanter and matching stopper manufactured by Waterford Crystal in Ireland. The decanter is decorated in the Lismore pattern, featuring a band of vertical fluting to the shoulder transitioning into a diamond-cut cross-hatched lower section. The base is finished with a radial star-cut pattern. The large spherical stopper features vertical ribbing and a ground glass plug designed for a secure fit. The underside of the base bears an acid-etched Waterford maker mark in a gothic-style script.
Condition report:
The decanter exhibits notable interior cloudiness and mineral residue throughout the body from previous liquid storage. The underside of the base shows light surface scratching and shelf wear consistent with age and use. No significant chips, cracks, or fleabites were observed on the body or the stopper plug. Auction lot stickers are present on the exterior.
