An assortment of vintage and antique whistles of diverse construction and material, including brass, nickel-plated metal, stag horn, and moulded plastic. The group features several identifiable models from J. Hudson and Co. of Birmingham, including THE ACME THUNDERER MADE IN ENGLAND, which retains an internal cork pea, a cylindrical nickel-plated whistle marked THE SCOUT REGD MADE IN ENGLAND, and a police-style whistle marked METROPOLITAN and J HUDSON AND CO BIRMINGHAM and others.
Condition report:
The items exhibit varying degrees of age-related wear consistent with vintage and antique status. Surface tarnish, oxidation, and pitting are visible on the metal components, particularly the brass and nickel-plated surfaces. Minor surface scratches, scuffs, and signs of use are present across the collection. The stag horn and plastic components appear physically intact without significant chips or cracks. Functional condition and internal mechanisms have not been tested.
