Antiques and Collectibles
An assortment of vintage jewellery, watches, and small decorative items. The collection features a Sekonda open-face pocket watch with a gold-tone case, the dial displaying Roman numeral indices and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six o’clock position. Also included is a lady’s yellow metal bracelet watch with an integrated strap. The jewellery component comprises several silver-tone chains and necklaces, including a floral-link necklace set with clear faceted stones and a pendant depicting a tree of life against a multi-coloured background. Small decorative and commemorative items include an enamel pin inscribed Y.M.C.A. AUXILIARY, an oval portrait miniature brooch, and a circular silver-tone compact with embossed figurative decoration. The lot further contains an assortment of metal spoons, including one with an iridescent white handle possibly made of mother-of-pearl, and several with decorative bowls. A small maroon presentation box is marked H. SAMUEL. Other miscellaneous items include various pins, charms, and a printed card fragment referencing The Spastics Society.
Condition report:
The items are in a condition consistent with age and frequent handling. Visible tarnish and surface oxidisation are present on the spoons and silver-tone jewellery. The pocket watch dial shows minor discolouration and surface wear. General surface scratches, rubbing to plated finishes, and light abrasions are visible across the assortment. The mechanical functionality of the watches has not been tested.
